My wife and I recently completed the 2 day driving course with Dan Sheppard in our 44ft Monaco Diplomat.  Previously we owned a 31 foot Bounder class A motorhome, so we were not inexperienced drivers, however adding 13 feet of length warranted additional training, and we were so glad we did!  Dan was so nice and patient with us.  If he was explaining something, and a question popped up he always stopped so we could ask it before we forgot.  Especially invaluable was dealing with traffic and roundabouts. This was our first diesel and he even taught us things about the engine and how to handle hills and mountain driving.  He was so thorough, we can’t think of anything he didn’t cover.  At first my wife was nervous, but he made it fun and put us both at ease.  We highly recommend this course!

Good morning, I really enjoyed my driving lessons with Glyn Carson. He is very knowledgeable and made me feel relaxed and confident.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for driving lessons.

My wife and I were very satisfied with our RV Driving School experience.  Our instructor (Matt Genasci) was great!!

Matt was very patient and extremely knowledgeable.  With Matt’s coaching we both gained a great deal more confidence and feel that we can handle towing our travel trailer during our upcoming trips.

As newcomers to towing we learned more and were able to do more during the two day class that we ever expected.

We would highly recommend this class to anyone interested .. it is well worth the cost!!!

We had the pleasure of meeting with one of your instructors, Micheal Lynch,  and being trained on pulling our Fifth Wheel that we recently purchased.
Micheal was an excellent instructor.  He was always on time and kept us on schedule.  We felt that he “really knew his stuff” and was able to convey his years of experience and knowledge of RVing to novices like ourselves.   Even though our main focus was to learn how to improve on backing up our Fifth Wheel, he taught us a lot about driving our RV on the road and pointers for keeping ourselves safe.
He was very patient with our lack of backing skills and the fact that we needed better mirrors in order to be more successful.  We left our lesson and drove straight to Stone Mountain campground for the weekend.  We knew that we had gained more confidence in driving our rig on the road and had a little “solicited help” from fellow campers in backing into our first site.  We had a wonderful weekend and feel more at ease with handling our rig because of the training we received from Micheal.
We had already talked with the GM Dealer about better mirrors and had them put on the truck last Friday.  We have actually practiced using the backing techniques we learned from Micheal and are becoming more confident each time we back up.  In fact, we are going on another camping trip this weekend where we will again use the skills we were taught!!!
Kudos to a job well done by Micheal and your school.

Glyn Carson is a terrific driving instructor.
1. He has the credentials, knowledge and experience required to teach RV driving in Nevada. Nevada requires drivers of RV’s over 26,000 lbs to have non commercial CDL. I have a learners permit CDL. I am required to have a CDL licensed driver in the passenger seat to legally operate my RV in Nevada. Glyn has a Class A commercial drivers license. I would have had to cancel my lesson if he did not have a CDL.
2. Glyn puts the student at ease. He had me do everything necessary to pass the Nevada CDL test. I never felt pressured. He gradually increased the difficulty, but never before I was ready. He allowed me to repeat each task until I was comfortable. Using this approach Glyn was able to produce dramatic improvement in my driving skills ftom day one to day two.
3. Glyn tailored the instruction to meet my needs. The content of the instruction would have been the same either way. Glyn changed the organization and order of instruction so it would matchwhat I was required to do in my CDL test. This will make it much easier for me to pass.

My husband and I and our 2018 Newmar Dutch Star traveled from Phoenix to Casa Grande AZ for me to train with Paul. This is our very first motor home of any kind. Our hope was that I would be able to drive the coach periodically to relieve my husband as we travel across the country. I have never driven a large vehicle!
After spending 2 days with Paul, I could do so much more than that!  His expertise and teaching style put me at ease immediately.  The driving situations were in real time and  scenarios including city streets, left and rights turns with traffic, interstate driving, truck stop in and out plus streets with obstacles (trees, manhole covers, etc.). Backing up and parking were also covered.
The results were beyond what we had hoped for!  Hats off to Paul.  I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive a Motorcoach.  Please count me among his many fans and feel free to use me as a reference if you wish.

He even fixed my door that would not open by turning a nut that was not correct, and also taught me so many things about my motor home that I did not know…so many little  details that I never ever thought about.. I have been r.v.ing for  many years, drove everything from a fifth wheel and a little van and everything in between..  I usually only went places for short times a couple of times a year…I have driven the pleasure way van for the  last twelve years and it was so easy with not much to do that i had forgotten more than I knew…I would recommend your school to RVers that think they know it all because my eyes have been opened to so much that i did not know..

It was probably the best money we have spent in the entire process of getting into RVing. Charles was incredibly informative, provided us with a great experience and most importantly gave us confidence in our new RV. By putting us in all the situations we will encounter in the real world he allowed us to learn, correct our mistakes and come out as much safer and better drivers. I feel confident saying he will end up being a friend and resource for us the entire time we RV. I would highly recommend to anyone starting out or making a significant size change in their unit that this is money and time well spent.

Wanted to share feedback concerning our weekend with Lorrin Walsh April 7,8  in Silverdale, WA.  Lorrin was right on time started with the basics.  showing both of us things we needed to know to look for and check before we got behind the wheel.  He encouraged my wife to go first and was very thorough and gentle with her.  she had never driven the rig so this was all new.  he had a great area to practice. there was enough repetition so the lessons were learned and then we went out to practice in the surrounding area. the second day was also good with more driving time, more and different kinds of intersections and traffic situations.  he was supportive and clear with his instruction.   My 60 mile trip home with the rig gave me a chance to practice all he talked about and what we read in his book.

I would highly recommend this training and would recommend Lorrin as an instructor.  it was well worth the expense  and time and will help us feel safer and enjoy the journey more.

Best Wishes,

Dennis and Pat E.
