I hope that you are well.  I completed my RV Driver Training last Saturday.   I am a novice and the class was very helpful to me.  I have gained skills and confidence.  Ken Shockley was a very patient teacher.  He was relaxed, which helped me to be relaxed.  He made suggestions that were pertinent to my situation.  I appreciate his help with my driving and backing up very much.
Thank you,

Dear Mr. Mayleben,
I had a wonderful experience at RV driving school.
My instructor, Mike Wertz did an amazing job at communicating how to drive my travel trailer. He never seemed to be anxious, always remained calm, and was very easy to work with. He included things I would not have imagined like observing gas station easy entry and exit, importance of tire maintenance, and even how to use the commercial scales.
My husband and I would rate our experience a definite 10 out of 10.
I sent my friend to him after our great experience and she felt the same. I’ve been driving across country and on my way to Canada. Again, we appreciate Mike as he is an excellent instructor!
Thanks so much for your service. It was a wonderful experience.

Dear John, I cannot thank you enough. For working out my lesson. I couldn’t have been paired with a cooler instructor. Jordy Bender has a perfect demeanor for teaching. He is extremely observant, knowledgeable & confident. With excellent credentials for teaching, he is still respectful, kind & someone you always want to know. He’s a treasure. I don’t want to sound corny. But, I’ve wanted to drive big rigs since I can remember. But, there is an intimidation factor. With Jordy as my instructor, that all vanished. He is so mellow and confident. That his attitude seemed to transfer to me. I am already driving our 40ft. & tow vehicle. And, will forever be grateful to you “all” for making it happen.

Also, if being locked in the MH was any indication of how this trip had been. Then you might have an idea of the hurdles….just to get to FMCA Gillette, WY.
Thank you so very much!

I have had several people, both men & and women, ask me if it was worth it? I can say, with extreme certainty: yes!
I will definitely recommend your driving school.

Carla B. (Career Lab)

Hello!
I am the Director of our Mobile Lab at Indiana Wesleyan University. My name is Carla Biro my team recently completed a training with Mike.
He was a phenomenal instructor and able to provide logistical resources that will aid in properly launching this area’s first Mobile Career Lab service.  Day #1 was informative, and we gained invaluable information regarding maintenance, parking, and turns.
On the second day, I was able to complete a 4-hour instructor training with Mike.  Using the words empathetic and supportive do not do justice to this experience. He was a great instructor putting me at ease with driving the R.V. with total comfortability toward the end.
I would give him a 10/10 and believe he is a great asset to your team.
Best,

Carla B. (Career Lab)

Steve was a great instructor.  He was patient, had a good sense of humor, and put me at ease.  I got lots of practice on things that I was the most uncomfortable with.  He made soft, calm, correction instructions when needed, so I never felt like I was driving badly – just slipped up now and then, but I got better and better as the lesson progressed.  He always gave the “why” behind any instruction, which was really helpful.  I appreciate the time he spent with me.  It made all the difference in my willingness and ability to drive my RV.  Thanks, Steve!!!

Thank you, George Mayleben,
Both my husband and I took your RV Driving School’s two day training class on August 20th & 21st, 2023, in North Port, Florida, and gained more knowledge than we thought possible.  We recently purchased a 35 foot Class A diesel motorhome, and driving it was a little intimidating, to say the least.  My husband, Chris, was far more experienced than I was, so our instructor, Joe Powell, had his hands full with instructing me, as I was as inexperienced as they came.  Maybe that’s better, since he didn’t have to “retrain” me!!  Even though Chris and I both grew up with all sizes of motorhomes in our lives, I had absolutely no desire to drive one, and never bothered to learn.  I left all the driving to Chris.  So all I wanted was for Joe to show me enough driving skills so that I could drive if Chris became tired or sick, and I had to take over.  Chris could have instructed me on how to drive an RV, but you know how that goes!!  It doesn’t!!  So an RV driving school was the only way to go for us, especially me, and thankfully, Joe wasn’t about to just give the minimum training to either of us.  He cut NO corners!!
From the moment we met Joe, we felt comfortable, like we had known him all our lives.  We practiced in a large empty parking lot, where I for one learned how to start the RV, how to safely drive forward and backwards, how to safely stop in all kinds of scenarios, and how to turn and back the RV into a campsite.  Once I was comfortable, it was my turn for Joe to take me out on the highway.  No sooner on the road, than we had a mechanical problem, as the RV would only go at about 15 miles per hour, pedal to the metal.  It was at this point that I became a little nervous.  Joe calmly helped me get the RV to a safe location, where we pulled out the owner’s manual, and checked and rechecked all the gauges and diagnostic information on the dashboard.  Fortunately, after we sat for a few minutes, everything returned quickly to normal.  Joe got me right back out on the highway, where I learned to drive in the rain (as more luck would have it), as well as how to drive on the Interstate.  His mannerisms, along with a soft but firm voice, made us feel comfortable.  We are now able to get ourselves out of difficult situations and can easily drive in whatever circumstances we’re faced with.  But more importantly, Chris and I had a tremendous amount of fun and enjoyment taking this class.  Joe also took into consideration my recent medical condition (cancer), and easily adapted his training to accommodate me.  Chris has a mild learning disorder, and Joe was able to adapt to that, too.
Joe even went so far as to instruct me on how to be a better co-pilot, and what I should be doing to assist Chris while I’m sitting in the co-pilot’s chair.  And we also discussed how to safely get to the rear of the motorhome, as it’s traveling down the road at highway speeds.  So now with Joe’s wisdom under our belts, we’re far more comfortable driving the RV.  And I will no longer just let Chris do all the driving.  Joe’s final words to us were, “the more driving you do, the better you will get”.  How true!!
Thank you, Joe Powell and RV Driving School, for teaching this 70 year old no longer inexperienced woman on how to drive a motorhome, as well as giving Chris some very good advice, much needed experience, and a little “retraining” (LOL).  You never lost your patience with either of us, not one time; and you never raised your voice.  More importantly, you made it fun and entertaining.  We may be back soon for you to instruct us on how to safely tow our “toad”.  Again, I’m the inexperienced one, not Chris.
In closing, we are most happy with the training we received and will highly recommend RV Driving School to anyone who asks.  More importantly, we’ll go back to the dealership that sold us our RV and tell them how pleased we were with both Joe Powell and RV Driving School.  It was money well spent!!
Sincerely,

Nancy and Chris G.

This email is in response to the driving school and instructor Roger Keil, training #L14715.

I had a wonderful experience with Roger Keil.  Roger was attentive and very helpful.  I was very impressed with Roger’s patience and teaching style.  He put me at ease and helped me feel comfortable about driving a class A motorhome that I was extremely nervous about driving.  I had not driven this motorhome before so I fortunate to have had Roger teach me.

Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The driving experience with your professional instructor, David Hamm, exceeded my expectations.  I felt safe and challenged at all times.  I almost cancelled and I am so thankful I completed the course, it was so very helpful! All communication was timely and professional.

Thank you for offering the RV driving classes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and time spent with Weldon.  He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient.  He explained everything so that it was understandable.  I had people say that I would be wasting my money, but that simply is not the case; I feel much more comfortable and confident in driving my RV.  I am a widow and will be traveling a portion of the time on my own.  Weldon went through pre-departure procedures with me explaining how to check the tires, hydraulics for leaks, how often to have the oil and transmission fluids checked as well as additives that I could add to my gas fill-ups to help with keeping the engine clean and to assist with gas mileage.
He taught backing in procedures, parallel parking, we drove in busy highway traffic, and small, tight city streets.  He taught what points to look for when making turns, what to do in curves as well as recovering
when you are coming out of a turn.
I would definitely recommend this course.
Sincerely,

Hello,

Big Thanks to Dwight Cunningham for the professional lesson and instruction. I am so glad that I took the class. Dwight was a very good instructor that taught me and gave me lots of insights in order to drive my RV.
Very thorough and always keeps safety first.  I gained experience over the past two days, and have a better understanding of my RV. He also helped my Mom as my spotter.
I would definitely recommend Dwight to anyone just starting to drive an RV.
