I just wanted to take a moment to send a quick thank you note to you for the excellent quality of your school and the great experience that we had.
Our instructor, Michael Lynch was a real professional, who took the time not only to teach us in a classroom setting but also made sure we knew how to drive our big rig.
Although I had driven heavy equipment before, prior to the class, I was pretty nervous about taking our Class A diesel pusher across the country with my wife and six children relying on me to keep them safe on the road.
My wife wouldn’t even dare to drive it and was leery of agreeing to be a backup driver for me at all.
Michael’s 40+ years of experience in the bus business, as well as his 12+ years teaching were invaluable in helping us learn and drive safely. He has us learn how to drive through the serpentine cone course backwards and forwards, (literally), as well as negotiate tight spots, back into a simulate camping spot, do three point turns to get out of jams, parallel park, and many other maneuvers prior to driving. Then, we headed to an empty commercial lot, with lots of roads and turn-offs, and finally we went on the road. By the time we hit the road and drove for a few hours, we both we no longer nervous, and were equipped to drive our RV well. Michael tailored his teaching to our needs and was patient, encouraging, accommodating and helpful throughout.
After the class, I felt that I understood and was able to execute all of the necessary skills to drive my motorhome safely. I don’t ever want to be over-confident, but I am glad to say that I am confident that I can handle the motorhome like I wanted to now.
My wife is now confident that she can take over driving for me while we’re on the road, to allow me to get some rest. I couldn’t be happier with our instructor and our experience overall.

Paul Metzinger was very knowledgeable about driving a RV and also had many helpful hints about ownership of the coach. We would definitely recommend Paul to anyone looking to gain knowledge about the safe handling of an RV.

Ken Shockley was my instructor. Ken listened to me and took notes on my goals. I can’t say enough about Ken’s positive and supportive teaching style. He coached me and I did things I never would have tried on my own.
His words will be with me as I drive on. I feel confident in my ability to plan ahead and get set up to be successful. He reviewed my goals to make sure I had accomplished them. He tailored my lessons to my concerns.
This class was exactly what I needed and I am so glad I did it. And so glad to have met Ken and have instructions from him.
Thank you for making me a safer more confident driver.

My wife and I both took the RV Driving school here in North Georgia
earlier this week. This is our 1st experience with an RV and we had actually just took possession of our 2012 40 foot Tiffin Allegro Bus the week before. ( Coastal RV in South Carolina allowed us to delay picking it up as we were busy finalizing the closing of the sale of our home and needed to get our possessions moved to storage quickly. )
Our instructor, Michael Lynch, was in contact with us during that time and even came to the RV park where we stayed and assisted us with backing into the campsite and getting everything hooked up properly. His nearly 40 years as a professional driver and the numerous driver safety schools he had taken and given throughout his career, along with having had his own RV for years, gave him an extremely thorough knowledge on the subject.
Michael is a natural at being an instructor. He was able to read our expressions and tell when we understood him in the classroom portion of the training and add another example when we needed it. During the hands on driving instruction, he showed a lot of patience in being able to explain what we would do in each situation, walking us through performing maneuvers multiple times until we were comfortable, and explaining the importance of each practice obstacle in real life driving terms.
In our RV newbie situation, an old saying comes to mind… you don’t know what you don’t know until you know it. We did not know how important the mirrors are to driving such a large vehicle, nor the importance of proper alignment. Our passenger mirror was not properly mechanically aligned and not able to be adjusted to full range of motion so Michael brought his tools out and helped with this as well, We are scheduling to have an RV service shop repair or replace the mirror assembly.
That brings me to the one comment that could have made our training better. A short set of emailed instructions, a video or a suggested U-tube link for new RV’ers on mirror adjustment would have provided us with the heads up to have the problem corrected prior to starting the class. Thankfully, Michael helped us get the mirror adjusted to be able to take the course and even spent a couple extra hours with us so that we did not loose any valuable hands on training time due to this mechanical issue.
We found the RV Driving course exceeded what we expected and hoped for. We plan to be full time RV’ers for the next couple years or longer. With the size and complexity of driving an RV and tow car, I believe the lessons learned in your school will not only help us live our dream safely but may very well save the lives of countless others. I highly recommend that everyone who will drive an RV of any size take this course.

My wife took the driving school with Randy as her instructor. The course number is L9339. The class was very good and informative. Randy had many suggestions that we both learned from. My wife now feels confident that she can relieve me from driving on long trips. I could not believe that Randy was able to teach her how to back the fifth wheel into a camping spot. He is great with people and has a lot of patience. The class was great and worth the money but if I had to find anything I would have liked to seen different, it would be backing into a campsite on the left side of the road and into a campsite on the right side of the road. She only backed into one on the left side of the road.

My husband and I took driving lessons this past week from Jordy after purchasing our, new to us, class A motorhome. Immediately Jordy was able to decrease our anxiety and help us to understand how to operate our new home safely. Jordy was able to take our individual fears and anxieties and develop a plan best suited for each of us. Our driving lesson exceeded our expectations and we would recommend them to all RVers. Even those who have been driving for a while can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of these instructors. I can honestly say that, without Jordy, I would never have gotten behind the wheel of our motorhome. Jordy took extra time with me helping me to see and experience just how precise our motorhome can be when maneuvering around obstacles. My husband and I feel more at ease knowing that both of us have the ability to drive our motorhome safely. We are so excited to begin our new journey! We can’t thank Jordy enough!

Duane was on time, personable, came prepared with Smith System Driving overview material and other tools to assist in my training. His instruction was clear and direct, he was honest and gave excellent feedback on how I was progressing throughout the training. He took time to listen to my questions and provided clear answers. I really appreciated that his instruction was specialized to accommodate to my RV and towing situation.I found the price was just right for personalized driving instructions.I highly recommend RV Driving School and Instructor – Mr. Duane Kunze.

“Captain Dan” as I call him was awesome. Very thorough, informative and patient. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days spent with him and feel much more confident behind the wheel of my class A motor home. I know with practice my backing skills will become better with the tools “Captain Dan” taught me. I highly recommend this course for anyone who will be driving down the road with an RV. Money well spent!
Lonnie W.Joy and I had a great experience! Not knowing what to experience going into day one Duane our instructor made us feel comfortable, was easy to talk to and communicate goals of the training. Practical behind the wheel training is in my opinion the only way to learn about moving a large RV around a campground and city traffic! Not being total rookies much of what we learned was new to us, especially for my wife who had never moved a 5th wheel before! By day two she was a semi-pro at backing, turning, and navigating traffic. Duane was very patient with us and gave us enough wheel time doing critical skills until we got it right…he has a lot of patience! Unfortunately we had to return home a little early for a family emergency on day two, but all the important fundamentals were well covered. We now have a better prospective on safely towing a large RV.
