I did NOT want to learn how to drive our motorhome. My husband pretty much insisted that I take the class in case of an emergency, so I enrolled.Patricia Kleinbrook was my instructor, she was very patient with teaching me everything I needed to know. As a former OTR driver, she was very knowledgeable about operation of a big rig. She had me drive on highways, in town, and on back roads. She also had me practice backing up into parking places – she made it easy!As a result of this class, I now feel very comfortable sharing the driving of the rig with hubby.Thank you Pat!

My wife and I just completed the 2 day training with Jordy Bender. Jordy is an excellent instructor who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. His background as a professional truck driver provided the information and guidance we were hoping to achieve. Jordy patiently answered all questions and gave us the guidance and direction required to develop our driving skills.

This week I successfully completed the RV School Recreational Vehicle Driving Course. My instructor was Jordy Bender. I was very pleased with this course. I am so glad I signed up! The course was highly customized to my experience level and needs. The emphasis of the class was learning how to properly back up my truck and RV trailer successfully, which was exactly what I needed. I learned parking skills, turning skills, and how to easily get gas while towing my RV. I also received instruction on the maximum angle between my truck and trailer when backing up.I was extremely pleased with my instructor, Jordy. He connected with me right away after I signed up for the course. We had to reschedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, and that was as easy as texting Jordy with an alternate class date and confirming it. Jordy is a very knowledgeable instructor and proficient communicator. He immediately put me at ease and didn’t talk down to me or make me feel inadequate while I was learning. Jordy took the time to answer all my questions and gave me many additional tips. In addition to obtaining important skills, I also gained confidence as a driver and a desire to immediately take to the road and experience the next camping adventure in my RV!This course was excellent and well worth the cost. I highly recommend it! I wish I had taken a picture with Jordy in the parking lot but I didn’t. Maybe it would be a good idea to include a reminder to all future students so they make sure to do what I wish I had done!

Our RV driving course with Martin Stevens was outstanding! Our confidence pulling this 43’ Redwood is so much higher than before the lessons! Both my wife and I learned everything from country to residential to downtown city to mountainous curvy roads with a steep grade then went into backing from every angle … even the fine art of spotting, communications, and mirror use.Martin was very calm with excellent tips and techniques with great recap of events and reinforcement at the end of each day.We will recommend this course and Martin very highly and in fact already talked to two couples in our campground when they asked about the lessons. (they saw Martin’s magnetic sign on the side of his car).

Probably one of the smartest investment my wife and I have made since we purchased our new RV. Michael Lynch was beyond fantastic in helping and training my wife and I on the handling and driving of our Motorhome. Our confidence levels increase dramatically over the course of the last two days. I would definitely recommend this course to any new RV owner or even as a refresher to those who hadn’t driven in a while. Not only do you learn how to handle your RV but also safety issues when driving your RV. We want to personally thank Michael for his patience and guidance during our training.

The instructor was Duane Kunze.I found it to be an excellent experience and felt Duane was excellent.I have a 5th wheel. Although I have pulled bumper trailers before, I have never pulled something that large or with a 5th wheel hitch. I did a lot of reading and an online course in pulling a 5th wheel beforehand. These were very useful and helped me understand the concepts. However, although I knew a lot in theory, I had no actual hands-on experience. On-line reading and courses do not take the place of something hands-on. The reason I mentioned that is because I do think all of the reading I did before the course greatly enhanced my experience with the course. I already understood most of the concepts Duane reviewed and I think it made it easier for me to translate that into practice.Duane was very punctual and professional. Even though he had a set number of tasks to go through, he was flexible in tailoring some aspects of the sessions to meet my specific needs while getting in all of the skill training he wanted to cover. You can’t be a skilled driver after just two 4 hour sessions. However, I feel I have the basics and know what I need to practice on. More importantly, I feel that not only do I have a good feel on what skills I need to practice on, but I have a good sense on how to set up my own practice sessions to improve on these skills (I need to get larger orange cones for my practice sessions).Duane was a truck driver and travels in an RV so he has a lot of personal and practical experience and knowledge that I appreciated. My wife is taking the role as guiding me. Duane was very patient with her and worked with her on how to do this, although she still struggles with how to guide me.Overall I was very pleased with the course and found it very useful. The only negative part of the course was that it took place in the middle of all of the Coronavirus scare and I was a bit on edge during the visit to the RV park and the lessons. However, that is no reflection on the course or Duane at all.

I want to take a moment to thank you for providing a needed and effective service to the RV community.I am a new fifth wheel owner with little experience driving a tow behind trailer other than a boat or an occasional UHAUL type trailer. I just completed my lessons with Jordy Bender.Jordy is an excellent instructor. He was very knowledgeable, he explained what we were going to do, why it was important to learn it and HOW to do it myself….and most importantly, he was patient.I started the lesson with very little confidence and a good deal of anxiety about driving such a large vehicle and RV. I ended the instruction with a good deal more self-confidence (but still recognizing I have a lot to learn). I feel now that I will be able to successfully navigate most situations and how recognize and correct difficult positions.Jordy was outstanding and I would highly recommend him to anyone in search of good instruction on how to improve there driving with an RV.

Michael S.My instructor, Mike, was amazing. I was absolutely nervous and his laid back but efficient approach made learning easy and less intimidating.
I have already referred my friends to you guys for future lesson and my wife will be attending soon. It was a true pleasure and he went over so much about the RV that I would never have known.
Thank you all for providing this service as it is much needed.

I want to let you know how absolutely wonderful my RV driving lesson was with San Antonio Instructor Duane Kunze. I had a two-day lesson with Mr. Kunze. The first lesson was one week ago and the second was this past weekend. There was an issue with my brake controller on the trailer so my day 2 lesson was delayed by a week but Mr. Kunze was very accommodating. To say I was nervous to hitch up and drive my RV trailer would be an understatement. I traded in my Toyota Prius for a Ford F150 pick-up and then attached a 32-foot trailer. This was my first experience with an RV and with towing.Mr. Kunze was very patient, very knowledgeable and he helped me to gain confidence. He imparted so many “tips and tricks” that are proving to be invaluable. Mr. Kunze went above and beyond any expectations I had for these lessons. I highly recommend anyone who is new or seasoned enroll in the RV Driving School and if in the San Antonio area, Mr. Kunze will teach you a lot! Please feel free to share this feedback in any manner you see fit. Thank you for a great school and a great instructor!
