So glad that my wife took the driving lessons with RV Driving School. As first time RV owners, starting our RVexperience with a class A motor coach was very intimidating to say the least. We gave truth to the old adage, you don’t know, what you don’t know. Our instructor, Michael Lynch, was great and patiently worked with us from our knowledge level as beginners. By the end of the course, we both left with a new set of skills and knowledge about how to safely drive and operate our motor home. We’ve got more to learn for sure, but I know that we now have the skills to safely and confidently drive our coach, and that our skills and abilities will only improve with driving time and experience. Great program and great instructor!

We’ve been full timing in our 39’ 5th wheel for 2 years, and I’ve been doing all the driving. I had always meant to get adriving lesson but didn’t. After a few dents, and challenges backing into tight spots , I wanted to accelerate my learning. My wife also wanted to start driving, and my advice to her was that it’d be safer to start out with a lesson.
So we signed up for the lesson with Brian. It was great that he came over to the side of Tucson we were staying, and the first day met us at our site.
We each spent a good portion of the lesson building the skills to back up. It was hard work, and taking turns frequently was the way to go. Even Brian was surprised how slow our rv responded, but he helped us figure out the what and when of various backing scenarios. We learned when to focus on getting the 5th wheel in position and when to focus on the truck.
My wife used most of the driving around town/interstates, and by the end of the 2nd day was surprised how well she had done. I learned that a lot of what I was doing was fine, but my confidence and competence took a big step.
Proof of the pudding was today for me. We moved from Catalina sp to McDowell mtn regional park. I wasn’t looking forward to backing in. It was angled a bit but the road wasn’t wide and they have curbs next to a fairly narrow entrance to the site. We now speak the same language when backing up, a big help. I started backing up, knew right away I needed to move a bit more toward the center of the road, so repositioned and started again. For the first time ever I was able to back in without having to pull forward at all. We were in the site within a few minutes. I’ve had it take me 30’ before. Much much less stressful than before.
We know we have a lot to learn. We have got plenty of things to practice, and we can keep getting better. In 2 weeks it’s my wife’s turn to drive, and she feels ready.
Best money we’ve spent since buying the rv! We’d recommend the lesson highly!
Brian listened and observed well, was professional, patient and an effective trainer!

Good afternoon. In response to your request, I would like to thank and commend Joe Powell, our instructor, for an outstanding job. During my wife’s portion of class we had cold, wet conditions to deal with but everything went off without a hitch. Thanks and we’ll continue to recommend your school to newbies, as well as some seasoned drivers I’ve already seen that could use some serious help.Have a great year,
Dick C.I had my two day class with Randy, After our first day I said to my wife that today alone was worth the price of the course, I thought Randy was an excellent instructor . He was very knowledgeable and quite patient with me. I certainly feel that my time and money were well spent. Would highly reccomend this course to anyone.

Sorry for the late reply. However, I did want to provide you with feedback on our experience with Chris.Having never driven a 37 foot anything in my life, I was more than apprehensive to take on this task. Chris changed that very quickly. He had just made a most thorough inspection of our rig and then proceeded to provide two days of expert driving instruction. He was as meticulous in his guidance as he was in inspecting my rig. I would not have simply, blindly, bought a large RV without the minimum of instructions as to how to operate the damn thing safely and confidently. Chris was an excellent teacher (and I know teachers because I am one), and he certainly lowered my learning curve so much that I am confident in going anywhere in a safe manner in our new RV.

Good morning, Steve was on time and prepared for my lessen. The instruction provided and helpful hints for driving, safety , and RVing in general will help us while we are part timing and in the future during our plan of full timing. The area for the instruction was fine, easy to get to and provided a space to safely maneuver with no interference. We covered all the curriculum and helpful hits proved are good. We happen to be staying at the same campground as Steve, he followed us to and from the training area and provided feedback on the trips. I am a former Navy/California motorcycle safety Instructor and do have knowledge of driving safety and instruction. I found Steve a good instructor and great personality. I enjoyed the instruction and Steves help in learning the limitation of our new RV. I would recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn how to maneuver and safety drive their RV.

Hello,I am writing to review Mike Wertz in Dayton, OH.I cannot express how much I value the lessons he gave. I have told everyone on RV beginners forums I’m in how much more confident, safe and prepared I am setting off with my daughter across the country. I started with a small trailer and after his lessons and two days of practice, I feel confident enough to upgrade to a Class A that’s much longer. I wanted one but was too afraid of the length before. He had multiple techniques that made lightbulbs go off left and right and gave me perspectives on how to manage some difficult things such as getting into gas stations, getting into different spots, how to think of backing up, and different considerations even on purchasing and establishing my practices with RV lifestyle. I’m so grateful I spent the money on the lessons, and took the extra time before the trip to make sure that I was prepared. It was the right decision and will make us safer with my family on the road.Whatever your rating system is please give Mike the top score and add one to it!
Regards,
Terry and Julie H.
When we went from a 26’ Class C to a 33’ trailer (with a total length of 53’) we knew that for our sanity, the safety of others, and the investment we made in the trailer, we needed some instruction on how to back up this beast into campsites and negotiate tight situations in campgrounds and on the road.
Instructor, Dan Hemming, was extremely helpful in communicating with us before hand about our arrangements at the RV park where he was staying and our expectations for the 2 days.
We both took the course so that each of us was knowledgeable and comfortable with the big rig. Dan was patient, encouraging and used real world situations. We’re so glad that we did this course! The cost of these lessons is far smaller then the damage to the RV and our mental health if we tried to figure it out on our own! Highly recommend the course and Dan Hemming.
Jim O.I am pleased to report that I really loved my RV driving lessons with Jimmy Johnson

Rick was a great instructor. We felt like he was patient, calm and great with sharing tips, instructions and stories about how best to drive our RV for maximum safety. We don’t have pictures, unfortunately. We were too busy in the lesson on both days. We so appreciated Rick’s flexibility to meet us at our RV resort and come to where we had the RV so we could get it out of there and head back to the RV resort. One of the things his instruction did for us, which was really important, is it helped us build confidence in driving our rig. Rick was available for all of our questions, helped us with a few set up items as we got to our RV resort and helped us figure out a few of the issues with our hitch. We appreciate Rick and look forward to staying in touch with him.Thank you,
