My spotter and I learned a great deal from this training. Many of the things we took away are INVALUABLE and will keep us safer, going down the road.
These include adjusting mirrors properly, understanding the trailer’s pivot point, knowing how to avoid damaging my truck with the trailer (very big concern of mine), and even the simple phrase, “You can’t control what you can’t see.”)Our instructor was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. My only disappointment is that we really wanted to focus on the backing-into-sites skills (it was the reason we enrolled in the training) and I wish we’d spent more time on it. We ended up not discussing or practicing the passenger/blind side backing, although I asked about it, and it was part of the advertised curriculum. I feel that is a definite weak spot now, and will need to figure out how to try it on my own.Overall, a very solid training course and a fantastic instructor.Best Regards,Denice

Joe Kochis was the BEST. I could not have asked for a better match – Army Vet, Man of God and so experienced in RVing.Joe’s knowledge, expertise and teaching skills were over the top.My confidence level in parking this beast in a Camp Site Lot is way higher than before the class and I think I can keep us out of trouble. We leave at Noon today for our first 4 night stay.A 150% totally enjoyable and valuable experience.Money well spent……………

L11839Joe was great. I was a little intimidated before the lesson and never having pulled the trailer before but he made it very easy and very comfortable with hands-on training and lots of verbal explanations. He kept things very simple for me and made the day very enjoyable. The course is well worth taking and should be mandatory for anybody pulling a travel trailer for the first time

My husband and I just finished our lessons with Max in Utah and it was fantastic!!! He is such a good instructor. He’s very supportive of the newbie driver, understanding of what you know and don’t know and very encouraging. By the time I was done I felt like I could drive my 39′ 5th wheel anywhere, ok, maybe not anywhere but I’m much more comfortable with the idea of driving anywhere, I love the confidence he gave me. He gets 5 stars from me for sure!!!

Dana Baker was my instructor and he was most helpful and patient! First we talked about what we would do/learn in the course. Then we went to a parking lot to practice backing etc. It was raining but he didn’t mind standing out in the rain with the cones.
The next day we practiced driving. Interstate, city streets, country highway, parallel parking, backing into campsite and more. We concluded with a review of the course. He generously offered for me to contact him any time I had questions.
I highly recommend Mr. Baker and RV Driving School. I will be a secondary driver in a 40 foot motorhome with tow.

I’m writing this unstructured review of my lesson to express my gratitude toward your school and instructor for providing me with the techniques to safely transport my family on our travels. Our initial inquiry began late last week with the hope of receiving a date before a scheduled June 21 vacation. One of your instructors named Randy contacted me to discuss dates, and although he was initially unavailable for our requested times, sensed my need and made some changes on his end to accommodate us.A little background: I am used to driving 20 foot trailers. Our first trailer was this size, and we had upgraded to a 33’ trailer. I didn’t understand that the pivot point on this larger trailer was much different, and ran over some tree stumps on our maiden trip. It was because of this incident that we searched for and found your school.I discussed this incident with Randy, who proceeded to recreate the exact scenario using cones so he could see what I did, and showed me what I should have done. The techniques he taught are something I never would have known to do, and for this alone I am appreciative.Randy then set up a number of different scenarios, and we spend the day on running through those as well as actual road driving. His insight and tips are invaluable and brought back the confidence I needed to tow this trailer comfortably, and his personality really made this training session enjoyable. We really appreciate Randy for accommodating us and providing us with the tools we needed to have fun in this lifestyle, and your school for having this course available.Regards,Geoff

I recently took the two day driving lesson from RV Driving School. My instructor was Jordy Bender. My husband and I are on our fifth motor home and this is the first one that I will be driving. I was hesitant to drive, as this was our first Class A. We signed up with RV Driving School due to their good reviews and the fact that their brochure was at our storage lot.I immediately liked Jordy, he was very courteous and knowledgeable. I was nervous and hesitant at first, but he put me at ease. He had a lot of good suggestions and was very calmBy the end of the second day, I was confident that I could drive our motorhome.Thank you, Jordy, for giving me the confidence to help out with the driving duties on our upcoming cross country trip!

My wife and I completed our 8-hr course with Jordy yesterday. We both found our time with him to be tremendously valuable. This is our first travel trailer, so we were pretty green coming into the class. Jordy is equally as knowledgeable as he is patient. Not only did he give us great instruction on the driving and maneuvering of the truck and trailer, he offered excellent advice about RV living in general. All in all, the class was worth every penny. We are driving with confidence and looking forward to the many adventures we will have on the road with our young family.

Bob M.Things work out for a reason. I had some difficulty getting coordinated with an instructor due to my unit being delivered late and then the dealer having installed a poor drop hitch solution. However, all of this created the scenario where my training was with Randy Keith and it could not have been better. Randy was a great instructor.
Randy was flexible to fit my time requirements, even offering an alternative that worked better than the original schedule. His experience with campers and sharing his stories, created a comfort level with my wife and I around our unit with it being the first one (not counting our popup/tent on wheels unit). His points of emphasis while driving on the roads were beneficial – he provided areas of improvement (i.e. criticism) but in an open non-judging manner such that no offense could be taken. He worked with me on the areas I wanted to stress – backing up and understanding the nuances of pulling a camper.
My wife and I want to do this camping part of our life the right way and this training was a huge step in that direction. Thank you.
Rejoice and Godspeed,

My husband, John and I just finished our RV Driving lessons with Tim Armstrong and just wanted to make sure to let you know how very grateful we are for Mr. Armstrong’s expertise and guidance in the maneuvering and proper alignment of our Class A RV. He is a wonderful Instructor!
Late last year, I had to drive our RV home while towing our Jeep for the first time, when my husband fell ill. I was extremely uncomfortable driving it in that situation. I knew that my priority had to be put on gaining better skills to become more confident in my abilities to handle our RV! Your RV driving school with Mr. Armstrong’s guidance has given me and my husband that confidence! We can’t recommend the RV Driving School highly enough, every new RV owner should take this instruction!
A grateful student,
