My lesson with my instructor, Joann Doane was absolutely a wonderful learning experience for me. IMG_0815The first day, I was nervous and scared to get behind our Coachman Leprechaun 27′ due to the fact that I have never driven a vehicle that large. Right from the start, Joann made me feel comfortable and it was reassuring for me to hear from another woman (she owns a 40 footer) that I could and will do it.I was given the skills and confidence that I needed to sit behind the wheel and drive our RV (Rover is what we named it).I was given very challenging lessons, especially backing into RV spots which were tight (I always like a good challenge) and boy did I do well, thanks to Joann’s experience and knowledge.By the end of our first day, I felt confident. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy at times, but I listened and it came to me naturally after her instructions.I’ve attached a short video which Joann took. Living in the Asheville area which our mountains and narrow, winding roads and steep grades I had much to learn.I strongly recommend Joann, she’s highly professionally and intelligent in what she does.I am a 67 young year old woman who likes a challenge and likes to learn. This course was well worth it!Best,

I am so very glad that I listened to Tony Martinez of TRANSWEST Truck Trailer RV in Fountain, Colorado when my husband and I visited with him on July 15th this year. We were thinking of treading in our 42-foot motorhome for something smaller. Tony asked me why and I explained that my husband, Gary could no longer drive it. Tony suggested that I learn to drive it and I said, “no way”! Tony told me about a 90-year-old lady that took your course, and she was able to learn how to drive her motorhome. It got me to thinking that, just maybe, I could learn to drive ours. Tony gave me a flyer and we thanked him for his honesty.
I came home, read the flyer, got on the web site, filled out the application and made an appointment with one of your instructors, Dan Heming to meet July 21 in Buena Vista, Colorado. I made reservations at the KOA so we could spend the night and I am so glad that this has all worked out for us. The two day, 4 hours a day course was just what I needed to get me over being totally intimated. Dan Heming was incredible and very patient with me – he could tell that I was nervous, scared and very inexperienced but he was more than kind, considerate, understanding, and thoughtful. He went over everything in and out of the coach. He stressed safety first and he took the time I needed in order to remember what he was explaining.
I can’t thank you, the RV Driving School, Dan Heming and Tony Martinez enough. I did do it and I am very proud of myself. I feel confident that my husband and I have many more miles to travel together and each of you played a part in making this possible.
With our deep gratitude,
Stu L.
Fantastic job performed by Max Cook, I can’t thank him enough. Very well thought out at all levels and great IMG_225433105 delivery of methods.I think it would be helpful for the driving school to provide or offer some type of hand out or booklets for reference for students to fall back on after the fact. Something that could be customized to each instructor. Thanks for the great instruction and teaching.Best regards,

I just completed my two-day course yesterday in Tappahannock with Trent Taliaferro. Boy, I can’t say enough good things about my two full days and what I learned!First, I had never been behind the wheel of our 36′ Class A prior to yesterday. Not ever. But, I just felt that I should get comfortable with all of the components and be able to maneuver the RV. I wasn’t at all expecting to be confident, just able to help out in some way should I need to.When I explained this upon meeting Mr. Taliaferro, his completely calm demeanor and confidence boosted mine! We worked through every conceivable situation including cone training, backing up, turns, lots of road miles — single lane country roads, city driving, interstates, ramps — and I even stopped for gas and pulled up to the pump, which I never expected to be able to do.At the end of the first day, I drove my husband home. By the second day, I could have driven it by myself if I had wanted and was actually begging to drive! This decision to take the driving course was absolutely the best decision I could have made for me and my husband. Not only can I now help with the miles, I could completely take over if needed.Lastly, Mr. Taliaferro has the best attitude and demeanor for instructing. He’s the perfect teacher, because he is so calm and confident. He is knowledgeable and knows the ins and outs of RVs and RV life. He shared some of his experiences that we will take into our RV life for sure. Something as simple as learning how to use hand signals in a way that makes more sense was so helpful and unexpected.I couldn’t be more pleased and have shared my experience on the Tiffin Owners website. It’s amazing to see the amount of women who said, “I’ve always wanted to do that.” My words to them are, “Do it and don’t wait”, along with a link to your RV Driving School.Best,

Joe Powell was my RV Driving School instructor. His communication from the day I signed up until the very end was clear and concise. He was direct with his instructions, was quick to complement and used constructive criticism in a positive manner. I started with being nervous to take the wheel and under his guidance I was able to relax enough to comment about driving my rig and ask questions about situations that I was concerned about. This was a terrific experience, and I strongly recommend Joe and the RV Driving School.

My RV driving lessons with Aaron far exceeded my expectations. He made an 8 hour driving lesson both informative and fun. I came away with an extensive amount of information and new techniques. Prior to the lesson, my experience driving a RV was limited to the 30 min drive home from the dealer. As a newbie to driving a travel trailer, I was anxious leading up to this and intimidated by my first official rv camping trip.
After our lesson, I feel confident driving in a range of situations and not as intimidated with parking and backing up. I admired Aaron’s trial by fire approach. He purposely put me in realistic expectations but made me feel confident I could prevail. He was relaxed, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and went above and beyond. I had a blast and would highly recommend the school and especially Aaron as an instructor to anyone new to RVing.

Ruthie and I are so glad that we invested in RV Driving Lessons with Joe Powell. We owned a class C RV for about 2 years before purchasing our Class A. When we decided to invest in a Class A so many people we spoke with said the first thing you should purchase for your RV is Driving Lessons, we are so glad we did! There is a huge differences in drivinga Class C verse a Class A. Joe was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in his instructions on how to operate our RV SAFELY. Joe and the class exceed our expectations in every way. My expectations was that we would walk away from our lesson with one or two tibbets of information that would save us from some catastrophic mistake. At last count, our notes had at least 10 driving, safety and maintenance tips that I’m sure will save us thousands in repairs due to Joe’s instruction. A big thank you to Joe and everything he did for us!

I wanted to write to let you know how happy I am about the quality of the instruction that I received last week with your instructor Dana Baker. I have never towed anything before and was very nervous about learning how to tow my new travel trailer. Dana was very knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. Even when I was struggling with backing up he never got frustrated, he kept encouraging me and continued to work with me patiently. He was able to give me the tools I needed in order for me to feel more confident about my skills. After my second session I was able to successfully back up my trailer completely on my own into my driveway which isn’t easy because of the way the driveway is built. It felt good knowing that I could do that on my own and I know I will become even more confident and capable as I continue to practice and start traveling.I’m very glad that I decided to take this course and I’m very happy with the results.Regards,
Gwynne M.
We recently bought a 45′ diesel RV to go full-time. My husband had been doing all the driving, as the thought of driving the big beast that will be our home filled me with fear and trepidation.
Over the two days driving training with Bill Anderson, my fears have been conquered, trepidation has been replaced with calm and the voices in my head that were telling me I couldn’t drive the RV have been evicted.
Bill taught me how to drive and back up the RV, even parallel parked the RV a couple of times. Bill also taught my husband how to be my spotter when backing up and parallel parking.
Highly recommend the training from RV Driving School for anyone who drives or tows an RV!

Good evening. My wife and I really enjoyed our two-day lesson and learned an extensive amount. Our instructor, Mr. Ed Planas, was patient and professional. Just for some context, he spent all of last Friday, and half of Sunday, in a Mesa, Arizona parking lot on a 108 degree day helping us learn how to maneuver a single-axle popup. The following day, he accompanied us to a campsite and helped us set up our Aliner. he also explained how to safely set up the water, electricity, and gas.We enjoyed the experience immensely and are thankful to have found your school online. We will definitely recommend the school, and Mr. Planas, to other RVers.Kind regards,
