Darlene J.I just completed the driving and backing class in Tucson (Lesson # L12897). Clyde (from Shreveport) was my instructor. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable. Prior to the class, I had never even sat in the drivers seat. I did not know how to turn the motorhome on and was intimidates by the size. Clyde was very patient, reassuring and gave me the confidence to try. By the end of my driving excursion, I had driven approx. 150 miles, made several turns and backed my 45-foot motorhome into one of the most difficult parking spots we have encountered since going FT. Earlier that morning when trying to spot my husband in getting out of this spot, I was about ready to give up and have a good cry. Once, I backed into the same space (with Clyde’s assistance)that overwhelmed me earlier that morning, I realized it can be done! You just have to go slow and trust your spotter 100% .I was amazed that I was able to get this monstrosity in this difficult space. I truly appreciate Clyde and all he did to help me.
Thank you,

Aaron was fantastic! I’m more confident in my ability to handle towing my travel trailer. I especially like the section of pulling into different gas stations layouts for gas. Stopping at rest stop in the truck section, super market parking.
Aaron had tips for setting up and down camp easier. If even got my 2 black tank hoses(never used) that I had hook together unhooked. It is small thing but big. Answered tons of questions
I like how the class is broken over 2 days, you are taking in a lot of information and it gives time to absorb it. 2nd day was all backing up.
I would recommend this class to anyone new to towing.

My son and I recently did a full day (lesson# L13044) with Jimmy Johnson in Tuscumbia, AL. Jimmy was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much and are happy that we took the course. This is our first RV/camper so our brains were in sponge mode and Jimmy did a great job making us feel more comfortable and safe as we drive.

Mike was awesome today! I learned a lot of great tips and really enjoyed our time together. He made it interactive and not intimidating at all. Thankful for the life-long lessons he passed along and for the confidence this course gave me.Really glad I found you guys! Thanks,

I had a Lesson# L13077 on backing from Bob Nelson on April 4,2022. Bob was very thoughtful and extremely helpful, patient beyond belief in helping me become acquainted with backing my 5th wheel into an rv parking spot. The only thing I would recommend being changed is to practice backing into a slanted spot rather than a straight back in slot. The offset or slanted slots are much more common than the straight back in type. Site maps are usually available for RV parks and I don’t think I would choose one that had straight back in slots. Although it was helpful to understand the backing characteristics of the 5th wheel, more time spent on real life situations would have been helpful.Other than that, I would like to express my appreciation to the great job Bob did.

Vic is extremely patient and thorough. My many attempts at backing up my RV never frustrated him. He kept making me do it over and over until he was confident with the outcome.Thank Vic for me.

My husband and I had a 2 day driving lesson with Candice and we have nothing but good things to say about our experience with her. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and all in all really good company. We started with zero confidence and we now feel much more assured in starting out our journey – we still have a lot to learn but we have a super solid foundation on which to build. We are both very glad that we decided to take the RV lessons and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the school and Candice in the future.Regards,
David J.
What a great experience with Vic Young:
– Timely response to emails and texts leading up to day of lesson
– The wind was gusting very heavily (+40mph) for the planned 1st day so we agreed to scrub it on safety grounds and then see how the following day would go. Vic was very understanding, flexible and never pressured me go ahead in the bad weather
– Checked in with me before arrival on day of training, turned up on time and was well prepared
– Clear instructions and coaching which significantly built my confidence and skill set – I achieved all the objectives I’d had in mind
– We had a great day, some fun conversations and that all added to the value of the course.
Couldn’t recommend Vic highly enough and the course was worth every cent.
Doug & Karen D.My wife and I are new to RVing and have no experience driving with any kind of trailer. We have a diesel F-350 dually and bought a used, 38-foot 5th wheel. We were both nervous about taking the RV out on the road, so we signed both of us up for driving lessons; Mike Wertz was our instructor.
Mike did a great job. We both drove in town, on the highway, around tight neighborhoods, into gas stations, etc. We spent quite a bit of time backing both in straight lines and into a campsite. Mike was patient and thoughtful, tailoring our lessons to focus on what each of us needed the most. We’re certainly not 5th wheel driving experts but, after two days of lessons, we feel that we have the tools needed to hit the road safely.
We will do a bit more practice driving on our own then, five weeks from now, we will be taking off on our first cross-country trip. For us, the lessons from RV Driving School were a great investment. Keep up the good work!
Best regards,
