Our apologies for not doing this feedback sooner. Things have just been busy since we spent two and a half days in driver training with Roger Keil near Hilton Head, SC on March 14-16, 2022.We first want to thank Roger for the effort he put into our 2 days of driving, as well as the follow-up “walk-around” day. We both gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and skill, especially Chris who had never sat behind the wheel and didn’t even know how to start the engine! Mark knew how to drive our coach as we previously had a similar coach for a few years, but he also definitely benefitted from Roger’s wealth of experience, knowledge, and his priceless communication style. In addition to the value to Chris, which was mainly based on safety in the event Mark somehow becomes incapacitated and can’t drive our coach, and to gain a better understanding of the special challenges of driving a big motorhome, she also thought it was important for Mark to be in the navigator seat for a while. In two days, Roger brought Chris from knowing nothing to being able to actually drive, maneuver, and understand our 40’11” coach! It was truly amazing. She did not know what to expect but certainly didn’t think she would spend as much time driving alongside 18 wheelers on I-95, on city expressways with fast-merging traffic, through narrow downtown streets, over tall bridges, etc. Of course, that is what was needed and it is probably a good thing that she didn’t know all of that ahead of time.
She was not interested in being the primary driver of our coach, or even driving it a lot, but now feels confident that she can drive if she needs to. We plan to have her practice periodically while at home and have done that once since we arrived back north. She will continue to build her skills and gain experience on our trips.Since our training, Chris has talked up the value of such driver training, especially for co-pilots like herself, to all of our friends who also have RVs. Most of our female co-pilot friends are afraid to attempt driving their rigs (some pull-behinds) as Chris was but she encouraged them to even take a customized backing course. We don’t think any of them had really thought about taking a course but are hoping they will.We purchased the 1/2 day walk-around training sort of as an after-thought, but, once again, it was extremely valuable as Roger had much knowledge of all of our systems. He didn’t rush through anything and answered all our questions. We’ll attempt to attach a couple of photos to this email and hope they go through.Thank you, Roger, for our personalized training days! It was an outstanding experience for both of us, and we do sincerely hope our paths will cross again.Sincerely,
Leila S.
Joe Powell was helpful, patient, respectful, and very thorough in his driving instruction. I felt very comfortable driving my 33.5 foot RV when we were finished with our lessons. I appreciate his time and his expertise! Thanks so much!

In your email, you asked that we express any concerns or suggestions. I would like to express my concerns about your driving trainer, Pat Kleinbrook. I am concerned that, with her training skills, she may become overloaded with requests for her services as a trainer! LOLMy husband Ray and myself thoroughly enjoyed working with Pat. I was a bit anxious and intimidated by our rig and learning to drive it. I had called and spoke with Pat before my training asking if there would be an agenda and what to expect. She told me the first 4 hours would be learning to back it up. I thought to myself “oh great, I’ll flunk before I even start”.From the moment we sat in the motorhome, Pat put me completely at ease. She was very informative on what we were going to do and then had me perform what was requested. She gave instructions in a way that was calming and encouraging because everyone had to start at the beginning to learn these skills. I WAS able to relax and the lessons went by with a breeze. I have already referred several of my female friends who wish to learn to drive their motorhomes, to take this course and to ask for Pat Kleinbrook as she was exceptionally easy yet professional to work with.Thank you, I was so glad to have found your company/service to help me to be safe and confident on the road.Sincerely,SusanPS. I am the one backing up a Palazzo motorhome in the video Pat sent you. I believe you requested permission to use it as a training video. I told Pat and will tell you that would be fine. Thanks again.

Hi: I finished a two-day, 8 hour course today, with Darryl Bright. Darryl is a great instructor and got me as far as my capability allowed. I am very comfortable with driving the RV now. I did OK on backing up but definitely need more practice. Darryl gave me the information I need to succeed at that too, with more practice. I guess that will be my homework. I give Darryl five stars.
You have a great program and I was very, very glad that it was available.

I had a with Joe Powell. I had an amazing lesson ! Joe was precise in his directions and explained all the why you do something along with what if something were to occur. By the end of the day, I felt quite confident that with more practice, I could share the driving with my husband

Carol & I learned a great deal from Mr. Lynch’s instruction. We walked away with increased confidence in our motorhome operating skills, and the ability to face obstacles when driving our motorhome.Mr. Lynch’s pre-driving classes were important in that the driving exercises were clerly explained and performance expectations were clearly stated.Mike’s use of headphones provided instant feedback as to what action was correct/ incorrect. Both Carol & I appreciated this presentation technology. In my opinion, only one thing could have made the training more realistic. That is the use of an actual (closed to through traffic) roadway. Many thanks again.

Kay/ Jack G.Since we have never, ever driven any RV of any sort, we know we needed much instruction. It has been 2 weeks since Mack did our training. We both feel more comfortable, but it is still kind of daunting. Practice, practice, practice. And we will get that practice as we venture out on our journey to Alaska. I am sure we will come across all types of situations that can not be replicated in driving school.
In general, the training was adequate. It gave us a basis to build upon. I was disappointed in the hours. We were not given 6 hours each day of driving. It does state that the training is 2 days, 6 hours each day. That did
not happen especially on 2nd day. On the list of things supposedly covered and not done were: on/off ramps, interstate driving, lane mngt, gas stations, never used GPS Navigation on rig, one of us drove in heavier traffic (not both).
On a more positive note, we are both glad we did have lessons and covered a few of the topics; this made us more confident than no lessons at all. Mack was extremely personable, understanding, patient, and shared his many years of driving experiences/situations with us. Mack, upon initial meeting, is pretty intimidating, but in reality he is just a big teddy bear.
If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please reach out to us.
Thank you

My wife and I took the drivingclass with JoAnn Doane. First, JoAnn was a delight and thorough. It was well worth the money and time as new RV owners to take this class. Second, my wife was anxious with respect to driving the RV. JoAnn adjusted her speed of introducing new things to help her develop more confidence. The second day my wife was rocking it, going up and down the mountains of North Carolina.
I appreciated all of the general advice that was offered to make this new adventure a more enjoyable experience. Her experience was very helpful in just getting more familiar with all the options. The end of the first day, we added some additional items to our list of purchases to make sure that we were prepared for different experiences.Well worth it and JoAnn is a natural teacher.Best regards,David
Joel B.The instructor Michael Lynch was outstanding. Vital classroom instruction significantly helped prep us for the coach driving course. I will
be urging our salesperson at NIRVC to recommend this course, and Instructor Lynch to all new Class A RV buyers.
Anyone purchasing an RV of this magnitude is negligent and foolish not to take this course. It needs to be mandatory or at least significant discounts on insurance policies for successful course completion.
Thank you for a great service to the RV industry.
