Jo & Craig G.

My sincerest apology for just now getting back with you. I would be remiss if I did not comment on our driving class which took place in Goshen, IN September 15-16, 2014.  Glyn Carson was our instructor and, oh, we cannot thank Glyn enough for his instruction. While my husband, Craig, drove a fire truck for over 30 years, I have never, ever pulled anything like our fifth wheel.  Not even small utility trailers! But, Glyn put all of my fears to rest when I got behind the wheel. He was relaxed, gentle, kind, and taught me a LOT! I like to tell everyone, “Who better to learn from than an ice road trucker!” Although I had rehearsed pulling a 5er over and over again in my mind for years, some things would just not “click”.  However, Glyn came to my rescue and, voila, everything clicked.  Glyn’s way of teaching me to “pull” and “push” the steering wheel made it possible for me to wrap my head around which way to turn and when. After our driving school, Glyn wrote on my summary shee
t that I should drive 1 out of every 4 hours to gain practice.  Well, I (and my husband) are so very happy to report that I have driven more miles than my husband since that day.  I was even behind the wheel as we passed through the Cumberland Gap. It’s a fight over who is going to drive!  I actually enjoy pulling our 38.5′ 5er everywhere we go, and we have covered many miles since our class. (I know Glyn would be so proud!)

We wish to thank you all, Glyn especially, for being so instrumental in helping us reach this goal. I have never seen my dear husband so relieved to know that he would have help driving (and backing!) so he doesn’t have to do it all by himself, or if we found ourselves in a pickle and I HAD to drive! He likes to tell everyone, “I have so much confidence in her driving that I can nap while we are traveling, and I know without a doubt, she could get us from Point A to Point B without a problem!” It goes without saying, it is important for women to know how to drive for obvious reasons!

I could go on and on, but please know that you both offer a service that is most beneficial to all in this lifestyle.  It goes without saying, I HIGHLY recommend RV Driving School to anyone and everyone, regardless of how good a driver they THINK they are!

Thank you, thank you, thank you… from the bottom of our hearts!
